Caipiroska
Caipiroska: Vodka, Fresh lime, cut into wedges, White sugar and Crushed ice. Served in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish: lime wedge.
The Spec
- 60 ml Vodka
- 1/2 to 1 lime Fresh lime, cut into wedges
- 2 tsp White sugar
- to fill Crushed ice
Method
Cut the lime into wedges and drop into the base of the glass with the sugar. Muddle to release the juice and dissolve the sugar, taking care not to over-muddle the rind (the white pith turns the drink bitter). Pour in the vodka, fill the glass with crushed ice, then churn/stir well to mix and chill. Optionally squeeze/muddle in a rocks-glass and shake for a colder, more diluted version.
Served in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish: lime wedge.
