Bloody Maria
Bloody Maria: Blanco tequila, Tomato Juice, Lime juice, Prepared horseradish, Worcestershire Sauce, Hot pepper sauce, Celery salt and Black pepper.
The Spec
- 60 ml Blanco tequila
- 120 ml Tomato juice
- 15 ml Lime juice
- 1/2 barspoon Prepared horseradish
- 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- 8 drops Hot pepper sauce
- 2 pinches Celery salt
- 2 grinds Black pepper
Method
Rim a chilled glass with celery salt and cracked black pepper (moisten the edge with a lime wedge, then dip). Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and ROLL (pour back and forth between shaker tins, or rotate gently) rather than hard-shaking, to keep the tomato juice from frothing. Strain into an ice-filled glass. Adjust hot sauce/horseradish to taste.
Served in a collins glass. Garnish: celery stalk, lime wedge, and a pimento-stuffed olive (optional pickle spear / pepperoncini).
