The Spec
Method
Lightly muddle the mint with the lemon juice and syrup, add bourbon, then shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into an ice-filled glass. (Difford's shake-everything method also works; muddling the mint first is the more traditional Smash technique.)
Served in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish: sprig of fresh mint and a lemon wheel.
